When Inca started to rewrite its planning software (Inca Planning) it recognised the importance to involve good design principles with the aim of giving all users an easy to use logical interface while satisfying the complex functional requirements.

We involved the Rave's Usability Centre of Excellence from the start of the project in conducting stakeholder interviews and user studies. Rave’s usability centre created the Wireframe designs and User interface designs following user-centred design practices.

Subsequently using their skills and knowledge throughout the project we ensured that the final product realised most the initial aspirations.  Going forward, Rave’s Usability Centre is involved with the development of the Inca Planning GUI interface to ensure that it continues to keep its fresh look and feel and easy to use interface while maintaining a standard design methodology.

Our experience with Rave has been superb. The good understanding of different technological issues and the great software engineering capabilities on different platforms have made our cooperation fast and easy.
